Do NOT disconnect the device during the update process
Firmware update will NOT erase your wallet or private keys

How to Update

Update via Desktop App

Follow these four steps to update your ELLIPAL device firmware to V4.12.0 using the Desktop App on your Windows or macOS computer.

01 Download
Download & Install Desktop App
Download the ELLIPAL Desktop App for your operating system and run the installer on your computer.
Download for Windows Download for macOS
Windows SmartScreen may appear. Click "More info" then "Run anyway" to proceed.
02 Connect
Connect Your ELLIPAL Device
Connect your ELLIPAL hardware wallet to your computer using the USB cable, then open the Desktop App.
  • Use the original USB cable included with your device
  • Ensure the device is powered on before connecting
  • The Desktop App will auto-detect your device

03 Update
Run the Firmware Update
In the Desktop App, navigate to Settings → Firmware Update. The app will download and install the latest firmware automatically.

Update takes approximately 2–5 minutes. Do not disconnect the device.
Keep the device connected and the app open throughout the entire process.
04 Verify
Verify & Confirm Update
After the update completes, your device will restart automatically. Verify the firmware version in the device settings.
  • Go to Settings → About on your device
  • Confirm firmware version shows V4.12.0
  • Verify your wallet and balances are intact
  • Test a small transaction to confirm functionality
